Aids To Quit Smoking

As a fact, there are quite a number of ways available to help you quit smoking. Each method has a different effect on everybody. While one method works for one person, it may not work on another.
Here are a few popular methods to help you:
Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT)
Nicotine is a very addictive drug and for a person who has had developed a dependence to it, it really is very difficult for one to withdraw this very familiar drug from his system. To somehow control the physical withdrawal symptoms, there is a need for a steady dose of nicotine for the body. NRT includes lozenges, patches, gums and inhalers that take the form of a cigarette.
False Cigarettes
Your body may be anxious on the fact of not being able to hold on to a cigarette anymore when you started to quit smoking. This “therapy” substitutes the action or the physical sensation of having to hold onto a cigarette without having to take in all the chemicals involved in smoking.
Eye Openers

Does The 0Smoker Personality0 Resist Common Stop-Smoking Approaches?

If you0re a smoker, and people around you know it, you0re probably barraged by demands to stop. Some are caring and kindly. Others abrasive, even disgusted. Do the people you love quote scary facts and figures at you? Does it make you want to stop? No? Thought so.
Or maybe you yourself want to stop smoking. You may even be heard to say that you desperately want to stop smoking. Uh-oh. Desperation may make it harder to stop.
So is there no way out? Nothing you can do? There is something. And it0s startlingly simple. Here it is: Let smoking cessation be a desire for you. Something you want0and choose0to do.
Even if your doctor, your spouse, and your best buddies say 0You absolutely must stop smoking!0 make it that you want to stop smoking. It0s a desire. Desires are more compelling than orders, aren0t they? That0s because orders make you angry and you want to ignore them.
Give an adult an order and he or she quickly reverts to a willful five-year-old. 0I will NOT!0 The voice may have gotten deeper but the attitude stays the same.
What if you were ordered to eat your favorite cake? Maybe you0d eat it. Maybe not. But […]

Can Your Friends Keep You Smoking?

Can another person really make you smoke? Now I don0t mean that first time, when you were 16, and you took that puff because your friends urged you to. I mean now, today, socializing with people who smoke. Do the smokers you know, and love, and spend time with keep you reaching for that thin white stick again and again?
And why are they doing it? Are their intentions evil?
Well, probably not evil. Just a bit selfish. And, more than that, convenient. You see, if you were to stop smoking, you would be proving it can be done. And if you are the same gender as they are, the same age, in the same social sphere, you would prove it even more. And they would no longer have an excuse. They0d feel ashamed. Every time they would think they needed to light up a cigarette, and you didn0t need to, they0d feel more ashamed.
So for the ones who don0t want to change, it0s better to keep you smoking, so you can keep them smoking, 0proving0 to your entire social network, and those who love and nag you, that smokers simply cannot quit. Except for one thing.
I heard this story about a […]
